Tintagel Village
Plenty to do and see in such a dramatic setting. Tintagel Castle has spectacular views and its fair share of myth. Legend has it that King Arthur was born on Tintagel Island, where you’ll find the 13th Century castle remains. On Castle Beach below is the mystical Merlin’s Cave.

In the village there are shops, cafés and pubs, as well as the famous Post Office owned by the National Trust. Worth a visit also are King Arthur’s Halls with beautiful stained glass windows, a Rock and Fossil Museum, and a Toy Museum.
